(SNews) – Abby Grossberg, the ex-Fox News producer who is suing Tucker Carlson and others at the network for alleged “sexism,” has come clean and confirmed that she never actually met the star anchor in person while working on his show.

Lawyers for Grossberg revealed that she was never even in the same room as Carlson as they both worked at different locations.

Kimberly A. Catala, an attorney for Grossberg, said: “Like many on the ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ staff, Abby never met Tucker Carlson in person because he taped the show from his personal studios in Maine and Florida, and he did not visit Fox’s NY HQ during her time there.”

Grossberg went on MSNBC to make her case and it did not go well, as Slay News reported.

During the interview, she suggested that her lawsuit was politically motivated and appeared to resent his “power.”

She said: “There was an aspect of ‘I can pick who the Speaker is. I can pick who the president of the United States is, pick who the Republican candidate is going to be.’

“I thought that was very dangerous and didn’t want that kind of power.

“I didn’t want to have senate candidates calling me and being very upset ‘are you gonna destroy our whole campaign tonight’ because he could do that.

“He would call and tell them that if they don’t come on the show, we will destroy you.”

MSNBC host Nicole Wallace said: “What is it about the culture at Tucker, because, listen, as someone who covers him and has covered, covers him as a force that threatens democracy until Friday night, it falls in this category: shocking, not surprising.

“What was for you as someone inside Fox shocking about the culture at Tucker coming from Maria’s show?”

In her response, she appeared to let her political bais slip by referring to Jan. 6 as an “attack.”

“It was very out in the open,” Grossberg said.

“What you see is what ends up on air. People are believers who are there.

“I was really, I found it difficult to cover the kind of stories that they wanted me to cover.

“I wasn’t expecting it. Maybe I should have. That’s what some people say.

“But for example, right toward the end of my time there, when the January 6th tapes were coming out, Tucker was very set on finding an FBI person who was implanted in the crowd and spinning this conspiracy that they were ultimately the ones responsible for the Capitol attack, not Fox News, as they’re about to go into the Dominion trial, that it was really the FBI that set up this thing, not Fox telling the American people that the election was rigged and the voting machines did it.

“And when I went back to them and said, ‘look, there’s no conspiracy theory here,’ I called this attorney that’s representing one of the Proud Boys, and he flat out told me on two occasions: ‘There is no conspiracy. Get away from this stuff. This is dangerous. Tell Tucker to stop. I’ll come on your show and represent my client. But I absolutely will walk off if he asks me this.’

“And the response was, ‘well, find somebody else.’

“Tucker is really intent on this and that wore on my mental health, too, because by that time I had really begun to connect the dots that the programming that we were putting on the air every night was not just generating business, but also generating hatred in the audience.

“And after January 6th, I had this wake-up moment that this is hurting people,” she claimed.

“People are getting angry and people are acting out on that anger.

“And this is not okay. And I don’t want to be part of that.”

That was too much BS for even Wallace who called out Grossberg:

“I guess some people who have kept an eye on what he’s done would say that you might have known that before. Right.

“You go to work for Tucker in 2022.”

“Yes,” Grossberg said weakly but it was too late.

She said of Tucker’s firing:

“There were feelings first of ‘Yes!’ and then also the reality that you don’t want anything bad to happen to anybody.

“But at the same time, Tucker and his executive producer Justin Wells, who was also fired, really were responsible for breaking me and making my life a living hell.

“So there is a feeling of justice, but it’s only partial.”

(SNews) – Tucker Carlson has finally broken his silence after exiting Fox News on Monday by issuing a video statement on social media.

Carlson’s just-over-two-minute video received millions of views in the hours after it went live, dwarfing the audience numbers that Fox News shows receive.

He began by highlighting how many “genuinely nice people” who “really care about what’s true” live in America.

Carlson then pivoted and hinted that a new era of news reporting is ready to replace the stale corporate media.

He spoke about how “unbelievably stupid most” television debates are.

The star anchor then called such debates “irrelevant” and said they “mean nothing” in the long run.

“The undeniably big topics — the ones that will define our future — get virtually no discussion at all,” Carlson noted.

“War, civil liberties, emerging science, demographic change, corporate power, natural resources.

“When was the last time you heard a legitimate debate about any of those issues?

“It’s been a long time. Debates like that are not permitted in American media,” Carlson said.

“Both political parties and their donors have reached consensus on what benefits them and they actively collude to shut down any conversation about it.

“Suddenly the United States looks very much like a one-party state.

“That’s a depressing realization but it’s not permanent,” he continued.

“Our current orthodoxies won’t last, they’re brain-dead, nobody actually believes them.”

He closed his statement with a hopeful message for viewers.

Carlson asserted.

“At the same time, the liars who have been trying to silence them, shrink and they became weaker.

“That’s the iron law of the universe, truth things prevail.

“As long as you can hear the words, there is hope. See you soon,” he concluded.

(SNews) – President Donald Trump is reportedly “listening” to advisers who are suggesting that he should consider Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis as his running mate for 2024.

A new report by Page Six indicates that, while Trump hasn’t said yes, DeSantis in the vice president spot isn’t completely out of the question after all.

According to many reports, DeSantis has been running his own shadow campaign for president, although he has denied it.

While he repeatedly refuses to confirm his presidential ambitions, he has denied wanting to run as Trump’s VP, stating during a Newsmax interview that he’s “an executive guy.”

However, DeSantis hasn’t specifically denied that he is thinking about running for president in 2024.

His failure to deny a 2024 run lends credence to the shadow campaign theory.

In addition, the governor is also named on most GOP 2024 primary presidential polls.

On most polls, DeSantis is losing to Trump.

But he frequently comes in second place, higher than many candidates who already declared, such as former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.

Page Six reported:

A Trumpworld source tells Page Six, “Some of his supporters are suggesting he make a deal with DeSantis to make him VP, and he’s listening, but hasn’t agreed.”

The source added, “Supporters say the VP offer [would] stop DeSantis from opposing [Trump] and offer a ‘youthful conservative vigor’ to the slot, which Biden doesn’t have.”

The “scoop” went on to say that “so far, there’s no deal yet.”

This report could either have legs or could be immediately debunked by Trump if he decides to deny the report.

It would be an interesting development if it does happen but it does seem like a long shot for now.

Nevertheless, the move would be bad news for Democrats, who are enjoying the current infighting between DeSantis and Trump.

Meanwhile, Disney has just announced that it is suing DeSantis.

“FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor,” the network said in a statement.

Carlson’s last show was Friday, the network said. Fox News said it will air a new program called “Fox News Tonight” at 8 p.m. starting Monday evening.

This will be an interim show hosted by a rotating cast of Fox News personalities until a new host is named.

Carlson was Fox’s top-rated prime-time host.

He averaged more than 3 million viewers per night.

(SNews) – Dr. Anthony Fauci has attempted to absolve himself of responsibility for the tyrannical measures that were enforced during the pandemic.

During a testy interview with the New York Times published Tuesday, Fauci denied playing a role in lockdowns.

“Show me a school that I shut down and show me a factory that I shut down,” Fauci said when asked about the consequences of “heavy-handed” public health policies.

“Never. I never did,” he asserted.

“I gave a public-health recommendation that echoed the CDC’s recommendation, and people made a decision based on that.

“But I never criticized the people who had to make the decisions one way or the other.”

The response was just one of several in which Fauci defended his guidance during the pandemic.

Fauci, Democrat President Joe Biden’s former chief medical advisor, pushed back against critics who have accused him of being wrong about everything from masks to how effective vaccines would be.

He also admitted public health officials were sometimes wrong.

Fauci, who recently retired from his post as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID), argued that the ever-changing nature of the evidence meant it was nearly impossible to get everything right.

“Communication in pandemics is difficult under the best of circumstances,” Fauci said.

“What has been so troubling to me as a health official is when you are dealing with a moving target, the evidence is evolving and new data becomes available, but you get so many different people with their own sets of data that are not real data, but even in a perfect world, it would not be easy.”

One of the most controversial issues Fauci confronted as the face of the pandemic response was the mask mandates that eventually spread across the nation.

Although Fauci had initially told Americans masking was unnecessary, he would later become a vocal supporter of the benefits of wearing face coverings.

He even called on the public to wear two masks at once, arguing that it would be “more effective” than wearing just one.

When asked if his change of tune on masks and the divisive nature of the mandates may have intensified opposition to vaccines later, Fauci agreed that anything that “intensified the culture wars just made things worse.”

“When it comes to masking, I don’t know,” Fauci said.

“But I do know that the culture wars have been really, really tough from a public-health standpoint.

“Ultimately an epidemiologist sees it as an epidemiological phenomenon.

“An economist sees it from an economic standpoint. And I see it from somebody in bed dying.”

The retired top federal health official noted that policies meant to spread the use of the vaccine may have backfired as many people across the country were already becoming skeptical of public health guidance.

“I think, almost paradoxically, you had people who were on the fence about getting vaccinated thinking, why are they forcing me to do this,” Fauci said.

“And that sometimes-beautiful independent streak in our country becomes counterproductive.”

He also defended his views on the origins of the pandemic, arguing that he was open to the idea that the virus could have leaked from a Chinese lab despite believing more evidence exists to support the notion that the virus originated from a Wuhan wet market.

“I feel that until you have a definitive proof of one or the other, it is essential to have an open mind,” Fauci said.

“But I want to highlight the difference between possible and probable.

“If you look at what’s possible, I absolutely keep an open mind until we get a definitive proof of one versus the other.”

Fauci also stressed the limitations scientists have when confronting a pandemic, arguing that future leaders should learn lessons from the country’s response to Covid and stressing that public health officials need to stay vigilant ahead of the next pandemic.

“We don’t need an infinite budget,” Fauci said.

“We just need a sustained commitment to science and public health.

“The next pandemic may be 25 years from now.

“It could be 50 years from now.

“Remember, the last transforming pandemic was 1918.

“We had pandemics in 1957, 1968, and 2009, but nobody hardly even noticed them.”

(SNews) – Tucker Carlson has put Rupert Murdoch on notice and hired a powerhouse lawyer after Fox News shocked the nation and sent the highest-rated host on cable packing with a terse announcement.

Carlson has hired Bryan Freedman, according to multiple media reports.

Freedman will deal with Fox News and the Murdoch family.

Until he was ousted on Monday, Carlson was earning around $20 million a year.

Freedman specializes in media disputes and has won big money for his past clients.

Carlson was still in contract when Murdoch personally ordered his firing and he will be entitled to have it paid in full.

Some of Freedman’s high-profile clients include Vin Diesel, Quentin Tarantino, Julia Roberts, Robert Downey Jr., and Mariah Carey.

He helped Megyn Kelly get $30 million from NBC News after she was abruptly fired by the network in 2019.

Freedman also represented “The Bachelor” host Chris Harrison who got a $10 million exit settlement with ABC.

Chris Cuomo hired Freedman in his wrongful termination suit against CNN.

Cuomo is suing for $125 million.

Don Lemon, who was fired by CNN on Monday, also hired Freeman.

Lemon’s departure from CNN turned nasty earlier, with the network publicly debunking Lemon’s statement on his firing, as Slay News reported.

“I don’t know if it was voluntary, or was it, was somebody fired, but I think Tucker has been terrific – especially over the last year or so, he’s been terrific to me.”

CNN has slammed Lemon’s statement about the firing as “inaccurate.”

As Slay News reported earlier, Lemon was finally fired today after months of rumors that he was on the chopping block.

Lemon was bickering with his co-hosts and insulted half of America with his anti-women comments.

But it was still a shock when Lemon broke the news of his dismissal on social media.

Unsurprisingly, Lemon tried to play the victim and said he was “informed” by his agent that he had been “terminated” by CNN.

(SNews) – Fox News boss Rupert Murdoch personally gave the order to get rid of star anchor Tucker Carlson, according to reports.

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Murdoch made the move over a lawsuit filed by former Fox News producer Abby Grossberg.

As Slay News reported earlier, Fox announced that Carlson had left the network on Monday morning.

“Fox News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways,” the network said in a statement.

“We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”

According to The Wall Street Journal, Carlson found out about Murdoch’s move just ten minutes before Fox made the announcement.

His contract, he signed a new deal in 2021, will be paid in full.

Grossberg booked guests for “Tucker Carlson Tonight” before she was fired earlier this year.

She filed a lawsuit in a New York federal court on March 20, accusing Carlson and other Fox executives of having “a work environment that subjugates women based on vile sexist stereotypes.”

“Ms. Grossberg was isolated, overworked, undervalued, denied opportunities for promotion, and generally treated significantly worse than her male counterparts, even when those men were less qualified than her,” the complaint said.

Fox News denied the allegations and said they will “vigorously defend Fox against all of her legal claims which have no merit.”

“FOX News Media engaged an independent outside counsel to immediately investigate the concerns raised by Ms. Grossberg, which were made following a critical performance review,” a spokesperson said.

Musk is talking about Starlink his satellite internet business from his other ground breaking company SpaceX.

That company has been paying for terminals, new satellites, satellite launches, and satellite maintenance in Ukraine, according to media reports. Without Musk’s service, Ukraine citizens would not have reliable internet access, which has been especially crucial for its armed forces.

(SNews) – Election officials in Virginia have announced this week that they found 19,000 dead people registered to vote in the state.

The discovery was revealed as officials are looking for ways to clean up the voter rolls.

The Virginia Department of Elections announced that officials found 18,990 dead people on the voter rolls.

However, they blamed the failure to remove the dead voters on a “computer coding error.”

“It was a computer coding error that missed between the date of the death being reported and the date of the death certificate,” Virginia elections commissioner Susan Beals said.

“We are in the process of building a new statewide voter registration system, and I want to make sure that the data we put into that system is as up-to-date as it can possibly be.”

Beals said that the names would be removed from the rolls and that she did not realize the magnitude of the problem.

“I knew that there was something there, but I didn’t know that it was this big,” Beals said, according to the local outlet WTOP.

The elections department said that it had obtained death records from the Virginia Department of Health, dating back to 1960, to check the system.

“As a result of these findings and process improvements, citizens can expect to see a significant number of names removed from Virginia’s voter rolls,” a press release from the department said.

The dead voters were discovered as the state works to update its system, including giving local registrars more jurisdiction to take dead people off.

The streamlined process will allow an obituary or family member’s notification to be used to take a voter out of the system, a process that required an official death certificate in the past.

“We have made it easier to identify and remove deceased voters more quickly,” Beals said.

“This is actually something that registrars have requested.”

The state elections department also said that it would be working to clean up the process for residents who live in areas of Virginia that border other states like West Virginia and Tennessee or Washington, D.C.

“Through a national database, general registrars may now verify if the death of a registered voter occurred outside of the Commonwealth,” the department explained.

“In the past, general registrars experienced difficulties confirming the death of Virginia voters who died in out-of-state hospitals or facilities.”

Beals was appointed by Governor Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) in March 2022 to head up the department.

She had previously worked for several Virginia Republicans and served on the Chesterfield Electoral Board.

“I am committed to promoting and supporting secure, accurate, open, and fair elections in the Commonwealth of Virginia,” Beals said in a statement at the time.

“I will strive to meet the goals of the department’s strategic plan which seeks to increase voter confidence in the election process and strengthen the security of the Commonwealth’s elections.”
