A massive riot broke out Friday afternoon during a social media influencer’s giveaway in Union Square Park. Twitch gamer Kai Cenat had planned to give away PS5s, computers, microphones and other gaming accessories. Thousands teenagers showed up and clashed with police. A number of arrests were made and several officers were injured. A number of drivers were trapped in their cars as they were surrounded by the crowd and 14th Street was shut down as police set up a barricade of officers.
