(SNews) – Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has suggested that Congress will soon make an announcement regarding the impeachment inquiry into Democrat President Joe Biden.

On Thursday, Johnson said that House Republicans are nearing a “point of decision” in Biden’s impeachment inquiry.

During a press conference, the speaker told reporters that he would not “predetermine” an outcome for the probe.

The inquiry is looking into whether Biden and his family are steeped in corruption.

Lawmakers have been examining the evidence such as bank statements showing suspicious money transfers from foreign business dealings.

“But I do believe that very soon we are coming to a point of decision on it,” Johnson said.

He added that the impeachment inquiry phase is an “important step” in ensuring due process.

Johnson was elected House speaker a little more than one week ago.

Former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) announced the impeachment inquiry in mid-September.

Biden is currently running for a second term in the White House and his allies have denied that the president committed any wrongdoing.

They claim that Republicans are trying to serve up “red meat” for the base, despite the overwhelming evidence.

Republicans have issued subpoenas for bank records tied to Biden family members.

They have also held one hearing on the “basis” for the inquiry.

Members of Congress have reportedly considered bribery and abuse of power charges against Biden.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) is tasked with leading the endeavor.

Comer recently told conservative political commentator Benny Johnson his work has reached the “downhill phase” and he aims to “wrap it up as soon as possible.”

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO) are also coordinating with Comer on the case.

Johnson said Comer, Jordan, and Smith have done an “extraordinary” and methodical job “outside the scope of politics.”

The speaker noted that he has a background as a constitutional law attorney and was called upon to serve on the defense team when former President Donald Trump faced impeachment over Ukraine and later the 2020 election “when the Democrats used it for raw partisan political purposes.”

“I decried that at each step of the way,” he added.

“The reason is because impeachment power in the Constitution — in the House specifically — next to a declaration of war, you could argue, it’s the … heaviest power that we have.

“And it cannot be wielded for political purposes.”

(SNews) – Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) has promoted the false claim that President Donald Trump “participated in insurrection,” which the congressman claims disqualifies him from running in the 2024 election.

While engaging in an insurrection is one of the few reasons listed in the U.S. Constitution that would disqualify a person from running for president, Trump has never “participated” in such a crime, as Raskin deceitfully claimed on national television.

On Tuesday, Raskin appeared on MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” to promote this lie.

During the segment, Reid and her guests, Raskin and legal scholar Laurence Tribe, pushed the false narrative that the events at the Capitol on January 6, 2021, were an “insurrection” that Trump “participated” in.

Raskin said, “The hard question is not should the courts end up deciding because the courts will have to decide this because it’s a Constitutional question.

“The hard part is, did he engage in insurrection or rebellion?

“That’s the hard part for some people.

“Is incitement to insurrection participating in insurrection?

“The House of Representatives already impeached him for inciting insurrection.

“57 of 100 senators voted to determine that he did engage in incitement to insurrection, so you have robust bipartisan, bicameral majorities defining that as a legislative fact.”

“But I think the alternative argument will be no, you need a criminal conviction first,” Raskin added.

“It’s not enough to show that it happened.

“And you know, against that, I would simply say, the language of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment says that you can’t run for office if you have sworn an oath to the Constitution, but then you participated in insurrection rebellion.

“It doesn’t say if you have been convicted of insurrection or rebellion.

“But I think that that will become really the heart of the legal argument.”

“Donald Trump tried to overthrow Constitutional democracy,” the Democrat former “impeachment manager” continued.

“And the Constitution has a mechanism for dealing with that which is a very strongly pro-democratic mechanism.

“It says this is a big country, a lot of people can be president.

(TStarnes) – House lawmakers voted Wednesday to kill a resolution censuring Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) for her harsh criticisms of Israel in the wake of Hamas’s deadly attacks last month.

By the end of the vote, 23 Republicans, joined by all Democrats, in favor of a procedural motion that blocked the disciplinary resolution from reaching the floor. The final tally was 222 to 186.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) introduced the censure resolution last week that accuses Tlaib of displaying “antisemitic activity” and “leading an insurrection” at the U.S. Capitol, referring to a demonstration last week when pro-Palestinian protesters rallied outside members’ offices to call for a ceasefire in Gaza.

More than 100 of the protesters were arrested, with a handful being charged with assaulting police officers, according to the U.S. Capitol Police.

“Rashida Tlaib is the most pro-terrorist, pro-Hamas, anti-Israel, antisemitic member of Congress,” Greene said.

The Republicans voting with Democrats include Buck, Armstrong, Duarte, Edwards, Griffith, Grothman, Hageman, Huizenga, Issa, Johnson, LaMalfa, Massie, McClintock, McCormick, Miller (OH), Miller-Meeks, Moolenaar, Roy, Austin Scott, Spartz, Turner, Van Orden, and Walberg.

(TStarnes) – An Arizona school teacher has been placed on leave after he dressed up like the devil and told students, “Hail Satan.”

Nathaniel Hamlet, a student in the class, told television station News 12 that the teacher wore devil horns and carried a pitchfork. It happened at Mesa High School.

The unidentified teacher waved the pitchfork over the head of every student as they entered the room and said, “Hail Satan.”

“I said, ‘Don’t do that to me’ and I pushed the pitchfork away maybe three or four times and he still said it and still did it,” the teenager said.

Nathaniel, who is a devout Christian, told his father about the incident and all you-know-what broke loose.

“I was livid because I am a Christian as well,” Chris Hamlet told the television station. “What really tipped it over for me is, he kept telling him no, and the teacher kept persisting.”

Nathaniel’s dad posted a detailed account of the incident on social media, accusing the school system of “hypersexualizing, indoctrinating and grooming” students.

“Palestinians have been suffering under Israel’s brutal, illegal, military, APARTHEID occupation for more than 75 years,” the employee reportedly wrote on Oct. 7, the day the terrorists launched their attack.

She also posted a message with the caption “Free PALESTINE” depicts armed terrorists paragliding into Israel.

“F–k Israel, the government, and its military @stateofisrael @timesofisrael are you ready for your downfall…because we are ready for our freedom,” she wrote on Instagram.

On October 7, a DHS employee posted an image of a Hamas paraglider with a machine gun flying into Israel.

“I am glad to see that she has now been placed on administrative leave—but that is not enough. If these reports are accurate, you must terminate her employment immediately.”

“As Secretary, you must assure the American people that those charged with determining who enters the United States do so impartially and without prejudice,” Hawley wrote in a letter to Mayorkas. ““What safeguards are in place in the asylum adjudication process to remediate any abuses committed by strongly prejudiced immigration officers?”

(SNews) – A federal judge has just issued a restraining order to block Democrat President Joe Biden’s administration from destroying border fencing in Texas.

U.S. District Court Judge Alina Moses, a George W. Bush appointee, issued the order after the Biden admin has been cutting through wire fences to allow illegal aliens to flood across the border into the United States.

As Slay News reported, the state sued the Biden admin last week over the federal government’s practice of destroying sections of the wire fence.

Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott instructed state authorities to place along the border in response to increased illegal crossings.

In an 11-page order, Judge Moses temporarily blocked the Biden administration from “disassembling, degrading, [or] tampering with” the wire.

The judge also set a hearing for November 7 to consider the issue in greater depth.

For the moment, Moses said the only “harm” the court needed to consider is “the cost of the destruction of the Plaintiff’s property, which is the wire barrier.”

Judge Moses added:

“The Court is mindful, however, that the Defendants enacted an extensive scheme, which includes immigration enforcement and the interdiction of migrants.

“The question then becomes how much ‘harm’ should a state bear if the Defendants are unable to meet their obligations of securing the border and controlling the flow of migrants into the country.”

The ruling came amid reports that the Biden admin upped the ante from merely cutting the wire fence.

Moses wrote that the Nov. 7 hearing to consider a preliminary injunction will deal with:

“The intersection of the private property rights of the persons consenting to the placement of the concertina wire on their land, the Plaintiff’s right to assist private property owners and avoid costs to the Plaintiff; and the Defendants’ responsibilities over national security and border security, and its powers to effectuate its duties, up to and including the destruction of private or state property.”

The temporary order expires on November 13, unless the court chooses to extend it, according to the ruling.

It includes an exception allowing border patrol to “move or cut the concertina wire to aid individuals in medical distress.”

“I am a Bible-believing Christian. Someone asked me today in the media, they said, well, it’s curious. People are curious, what does Mike Johnson think about any issue under the sun?” Johnson told. Fox News. “I said, ‘Well, go pick up a Bible off your shelf and read it.’ That’s that’s my worldview.”

She said Americans should be scared that Johnson is what she called a Christian fundamentalist.

“Most Americans might not be able to pick Mike Johnson out of a lineup, but in reality he’s far from benign,” said Psaki. “It’s not just his political ideology that should scare us. Johnson is basically a Christian fundamentalist.”

Psaki reacted as if Johnson had just admitted being from another planet.

“You heard that right!” said Psaki. “The Bible doesn’t just inform his worldview, it is his worldview.”

And Psaki is not the only one alarmed by Johnson’s religious beliefs. There are even some members of his own party, along with a host of conservative pundits, who are bristling at the idea that the new Speaker of the House actually follows the teachings of the Bible.

Johnson is a Bible-believing evangelical Christian who attends a Southern Baptist church and it’s a welcome change to have someone in charge who seeks God’s counsel on a daily basis.

“I believe that scripture, the Bible, is very clear that God is the one that raises up those in authority,” Johnson said. “He raised up each of you. All of us. And I believe that God has allowed and ordained each and every one of us to be here at this specific moment. This is my belief. I believe that each one of us has a huge responsibility today to use the gifts God has given us to serve the extraordinary people of this great nation, and they deserve it.”

It was Alexander Hamilton – the darling of Broadway liberals – who once said that he had tender reliance on the mercy of the Almighty through the merits of the Lord Jesus Christ.

George Washington and Samuel Adams echoed those words. And so did Benjamin Franklin.

(SNews) – Google’s parent company Alphabet has invested a whopping $2 billion into an artificial intelligence (AI) company whose own CEO believes the technology could destroy humanity.

Alphabet has pumped the big investment into AI start-up Anthropic.

Anthropic is generally considered a rival to Open AI, which is the company behind the controversial AI chatbot ChatGPT.

However, Anthropic’s CEO and co-founder Dario Amodei warned earlier this week that AI has between a 10 and 25 percent chance of destroying humanity, The Daily Mail is reporting.

Amodei later tried to qualify his statement on the Logan Bartlett Show.

“If we can avoid the downsides then this stuff about curing cancer, extending human lifespan, solving problems like mental illness… I don’t think it’s outside the scope of what this can do,” he said.

There has already been $500 million that Google has invested in Anthropic.

The remaining investment will be provided over a period of time.

This comes after Amazon invested $4 billion into Anthropic, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Meanwhile, large tech companies and globalist organizations are racing to dominate the AI space.

Some have suggested that the technology could be the latest stage in the technological revolution.

While Google and Microsoft have previously supported OpenAI, Anthropic has quickly drawn the most attention from Big Tech companies.

Amodei was previously OpenAI’s vice president of research before going his own way to build something that could rival ChatGPT.

Since he departed three years ago, Anthropic has become a company worth $5 billion.

Anthropic’s CEO was not shy in suggesting that there are serious potential consequences of creating such sophisticated AI.

“My chance that something goes really quite catastrophically wrong on the scale of human civilization might be somewhere between 10 percent and 25 percent,” he claimed.

“That means there is a 75 percent to 90 percent chance that this technology is developed and everything goes fine.”

However, Anthropic has already been hit with a lawsuit by Universal Music Group and other major record labels on October 18.

The company is accused of distributing copyrighted music lyrics without a licensing deal, per the report.

The Daily Mail reported that Jason Peterson — the CEO of GoDigital Media Group — suggested that this is likely a clear-cut case of infringement.

The Cornell Daily Sun reports that other unnamed individuals threatened to rape female Jewish students and behead Jewish babies in front of their parents.

Greekrank is a discussion site about the fraternities and sororities across colleges and universities, with user guidelines banning content that “contains hate speech or promotes or condones violence.”

Cornell President Martha Pollack condemned what she called “a series of horrendous, antisemitic messages.”

“At this time, Cornell Police are on the scene and investigating. Police will continue to remain on site to ensure our students and community members are safe,” Pollack said in a statement. “Cornell Police have also notified the FBI of a potential hate crime.”

Pollack was horrified by the postings.

“We will not tolerate antisemitism at Cornell,” she said. “During my time as president, I have repeatedly denounced bigotry and hatred, both on and off our campus. The virulence and destructiveness of antisemitism is real and deeply impacting our Jewish students, faculty and staff, as well as the entire Cornell community. This incident highlights the need to combat the forces that are dividing us and driving us toward hate. This cannot be what defines us at Cornell.”

Meanwhile, Jewish students are terrified and some are afraid to leave their dorm rooms.

(SNews) – A Virginia Democrat has been promoting an “after-school satan club” for “kiddos” that he says he “can’t wait” to sign his own children up for.

Jeremy D. Rodden is the Democrat-endorsed candidate in next month’s election for the Virginia House of Delegates.

Rodden is running for the 90th District near Chesapeake.

However, Rodden has also sought to bring Satan’s teachings into schools and raised money for the Satanic Temple.

he has also written books about the occult for children.

In November 2022, Rodden posted a flier to his campaign Facebook page that said, “Hey kids! Let’s have fun at After School Satan Club!”

The flier said it is sponsored by the Satanic Temple and would take place at the B.M. Williams Primary School in Chesapeake.

“I can’t wait to sign up my second grader for this after-school club!” Rodden wrote.

“Fellow BM Williams parents, let me know if you plan on signing up your kiddos and if you need any help with carpooling/transportation.

“Note for those who don’t know: this club does not practice any religious indoctrination whatsoever, unlike some of the other clubs offered at this school and at schools throughout Chesapeake Public Schools.”

By December, a gunman killed seven people at a Walmart five minutes from the school.

The shooter credited Satan for his acts in a manifesto.

Even the group’s original sponsor fled the group, acknowledging it was “divisive” and that the community needed healing after the slaughter.

But not Rodden, who leaned in and served as its de facto spokesman.

Instead, Rodden has repeatedly called Christians terrorists.

“I have been credited as being responsible for bringing the After School Satan Club to BM Williams here in Chesapeake,” he wrote on Facebook.

“I am not. However, I do know those who are.”

“The local sponsor of the club has asked me to pass along the following message on their behalf: … ‘Following the tragic mass shooting at the Walmart off of Battlefield, I am removing my name from the lease agreement for the After School Satan Club,’” he wrote.

The Virginian-Pilot newspaper chronicled public sentiment, saying:

“Outrage grows over After School Satan Club.”

Rodden used the opportunity to blast Christians, however.

“I know religious leaders molesting children is boring due to its frequency, but maybe we should be concerned about the actual harm being done to children than the harm not being done to children at all by the ASSC,” he said, referring to the kids’ Satan Club.

In February 2023, he posted a news article saying that a bomb threat was made against the school and a Satan Club volunteer.

Rodden wrote that it had “everything to do with Christian terrorism,” and asked people to donate to the Satanic Template and “tell them the Christian Nationalist terrorists of Chesapeake sent you.”

He also lamented that there were “Judeo-Christian” invocations at school board meetings, and suggested a “Satanist invocation” instead.

At times, Rodden said that the Satan Club was a response to a school allowing its facilities to be used for a “Good News” Christian group.

Some have used such clubs as a deliberately provocative gesture designed to demonstrate that neither is appropriate in a public school.

However, far from using “Satan” as an ironic example, Rodden has a deep fixation on the demonic.

When he’s not running for public office, Rodden authors books aimed at putting “demonic” themes in front of young children.

Books he has authored or contributed to include “Demonic Carnival: First Ticket’s Free,” “Demonic Household,” “UnCommon Evil: A Collection of Nightmares, Demonic Creatures, and UnImaginable Horrors,” and “Demonic Wildlife.”

Rodden’s social media comments demonstrate not just a desire to ensure that various religions, or the right to practice no religion at all, are respected, but rather a deep and overriding disgust with Christianity.

“#FreedomOfReligion is #FreedomFromReligion,” he wrote.

Rodden is seeking to represent everyone in Virginia’s 90th District, a conservative district near a military base that is currently represented by Republican Jay Leftwich.

He is endorsed by the Democratic Party, the Secular Democrats of Virginia, and high-profile state politicians including Senate leader L. Louise Lucas.

Virginia Democrats have focused on abortion this year — even candidates for school board that have no purview over it.

The Satanic Temple calls itself “the leading beacon of light in the battle for abortion access.”
